Salvete Omnes!
I'm back, and hopefully will have some pics for you this weekend. {Anyone knowof a good free screenshot saver for download?}
Among the pictures I am pleased with is one of the breach point in the wall at Masada, where the battering ram went through,and one taken from the breach point itself looking down on the seige ramp. Also have a good picture of General Silva's camp. {We did not get to go into the camp site itself}.
Some very impressive Roman ruins are at Bet Shean and Caesarea, and the Caesarea theater is still in use for musical performances.
People who like New Testament history would like Caesarea for the ruins of the praetorium, and the likely spot where Paul appealed to Caesar, and Porcius Festus said 'To Caesar you shall go'.
There are several places in Jerusalem where you can walk on first century pavement, and the pavement of Hadrians Market is there still.
I'll get some pics up this weekend. Good to be back!
