Salve Coruncani

Solitudinem fecerunt, pacem appelunt.
They made a dessert and called it peace ~Tacitus Histories

Dulce bellum inexpertis
War is sweet for those who have not experienced it. ~Pindar

Some time ago I think it was Ericius sent me a link to a site with a number of military mottoes in Latin, funny but the mottoes themselves came mostly from the Viet Nam era. Here's a few

Si hostes visibilis, etiam tu

Noli eminere, catapultas allicies

Salvete,

On a sidenote, isn't it now considered quite likely that Tacitus made up this quote, and possibly even the Caledonian chieftain he attributed it to?

Bene valete,

I would be happy if they made a dessert and called it peace. Ben and Jerry's have probably already done so, and it's probably yummy.

Making a desert, on the other hand, is not so much fun.
