salvete!
I have just arrived back from the NJCL convention in Richmond, VA. It was a fun-filled week, and we were all reluctant to board the bus home.

Alas, our Certamen team did not win. We came in second, just barely being overtaken by Virginia on the last question which, unfortunately, was based on color. Our 'team captain' is color blind.

We all won various awards on academic tests, creative arts, etc., and despite our performance in competition, we had a great time gathering with thousands of other classics-minded individuals.

reveniemus, videbimus, vincemus!

valete,
Titus Marius Crispus

P.S.: In response to the individual asking for examples of Certamen questions, I'll dig some up and post them.

Salve Crispe,

Too bad, but still, my congratulations!

Salve Crispe,

When I was a certamen competitor, I represented the Commonwealth of Virginia. It is good to know that we still dominate!

Congratulations on your excellent result. I'm glad we Virginians have such strong competition.

Vale,
