I don't know if it's still running but in the newspaper De Standaard there was/is a small 'column', as it were, each time, picked from letters of Cicero's brother to Cicero about campaigning, to show how 'modern' the Republic was with regards to elections and campaigns (for non-Belgae here, there are general elections here in Belgium on May 18). Worth checking out!
