I would like to step forward to announce my candidacy for consul. I have already served once in this office and it is my great wish to serve the Societas again in this office.

I have been consul in our first full year of existence, together with my colleague Allegra. And in the previous year I have served as praetor together with my colleague Tergestus. I am also the founder of the Collegium Historicum, and its rector since then. For one year I have also been Praefectus provinciae Belgicae.

If elected, I intend to spend all of my spare time to the Societas, in fact as I have also done in the previous years. I consider the office of consul the most important, both outside and inside the Societas. So I would be glad to serve the Societas Via Romana in this position.

I officially declare my support for my praetorian colleague Mus. The reason is not so much that he was so effective as a praetor and so easy to work with as a colleague. Rather, I am encouraged by his promise to spend "all of his free time on SVR" if elected. This should eliminate his heavy metal noise pollution that I heard (endured) all over the Belgian countryside! Turn it down, Mus!

Tergeste, I do wonder who you are going to vote for. You can support two candidates but when you're all alone in the digital voting booth only one can get your vote . I don't mind though, I trust that the resistance against the Dionysian Empire will be so small that Mus and I shall both be elected .

My support goes to Mus, a long time friend, ally, and nephew.

But these ties are not the sole reasons, amici.

I can state that already much of Mus' spare time is dedicated to our Societas. For instance, he was the one who started the SVR newsletter, was amongst those sodales who represented us all at the Vioviracum meeting, etc...

And if he promises to dedicate even more time to SVR, who knows where it might lead us...
