Here candidates for the office of consul may post their candidacy, and questions and debate with these candidates should also be done here.

What is a consul?

- there are two consules, serving a term lasting one year
- They have to set matters before the comitia for discussion and vote
- They sit in the senate
- They have to investigate the collegia for democracy, legality and responsibleness.
- To issue those edicta desirable to advance the mission and purposes of the Societas

Salvete omnes,

I, Quintus Pomponius Atticus, hereby announce my candidacy for consul.

I have already served the SVR as aedilis, rogator and rector and would now like to help direct SVR as one of its consules.

My main objectives, if I would be elected, would be to enhance and coordinate active participation and to help to strenghten a sense of belonging in this community.

Valete !

Salvete sodales omnes

I, Marcus Moravius Horatianus Piscinus, today place my name before the Comitia Generalia as a candidate for the office of consul.

Previously I have served as SVR's first consul, rector of the Collegium Religionis, and rogator of the Collegium Militarium.

During my first term as consul suffectus the issue of establishing an adjudication system for SVR was raised. The duration of my term being only three months, that aspect of SVR was never developed. If elected I complement the efforts of our pratores by establishing a firm footing for SVR's judicial system based in Roman law, with special consideration given to protecting the rights of our membership.

Valete optime
M Horatius Piscinus
