Thanks. I did find a more recent paper on Domitia Longina (2002), which also mentions only the boy. Jona Lendering's website identifies this child as Titus Flavius btw, but I was under the impression that his name had not survived?

Cleopatra Aelia wrote:This is a detail of the Ara Pacis which you can see in a recently opened new museum. When I was in Rome for the first time six years ago it was closed so I was delighted to see it this time.

The artistry on this relief is quite simply astounding. Thanks for sharing.

Salve, Cleopatra Aelia,

Be sure to take plenty of pictures :) I'm always interested to see new photographs of Roman ruins, artifacts, or inscriptions. Hope you enjoy your trip.

Online translation of Pliny's Panegyricus?

Salvete omnes,

As the title indicates, I'm looking for an online translation of Pliny's Panegyricus. Only Latin texts seem to be available currently.

Good to hear the operation went well. I'm sure there is a Latin expression appropriate for this occassion but I'm not familiar with it, so English will have to suffice :)

So, best of wishes and I hope you have a speedy recovery!

No information on costumes as far as I can tell but still an essential read:

Most capable: Augustus. Quite simply one of the most brilliant and influential politicians in the history of the western world.

My favourite: Probably Tiberius. The man is a complete tragedy, and never ceases to fascinate me.

Most entertaining: Heliogabalus, without a doubt. :D
