Salve

I don't know any site that offers a Latin translation of the Orphic hymns, but I do know one in particular that offers Latinized version of the Orphic hymns translated by Thomas Taylor which can be found at sacred-texts.com.

Salve Piscine

Since I don't go to any university, I'm affraid I can't help you out there. Perhaps Mus and my fellow countrymen could answer your question concerning what they use at the university.

Perhaps we can also add the Religion in Ancient Etruria by Jean-Rene Jannot and Religion of the Etruscans by Nancy Thomson De Grummond. I heard great things about these books.

solar eclipses

Salvete

With yesterday having seen a great solar eclips, I wondered how the Romans and Greeks thought of it, when seeing such a event taking place?

Robert graves

Salvete Robert Graves’ White Goddess Robert Graves is another author whose two books Greek Myths and White Goddess are usually viewed with scrutiny. He’s a well known novelist and poet, but his attempts at being a scholar failed. In 1948 he published a book called The White Goddess and publish...

Marija Gimbutas

Salvete Marija Gimbutas There can be said allot about these authors who seem to have a affinity for creating a new mythology based on flawed theories and evidences. I’m pretty sure a whole volume can be written about them, but I will limit it to the influences they have on paganism. Joan Marler...

Salve Tergeste Well there is a difference. I'm not all that familiar with how animals were used in arena's, but I think that they weren't exhousted when they entered the arena. Spanish bulls that enter the arena are tired. They were put in a room where the floor wasn't flat, something of a 45 deg...

vraagje
