Salve Mari, interesting: I always thought this was "the roman society and way". A comma would be missing, but the name can make perfect grammatical sense this way. It never occurred to me that it was meant to mean something else.

my mother found a book about roman economy which just came out in Italy. As soon as I reach her in Torino (in a few days) I'll let you know more about it, in case you can read Italian.
